PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography was invented in the early part of the 19th century - exposure taking 8-12 hours with fixing the image being one of the early challenges. After many parallel advances around the world, In 1839 Louis Daguerre publicly introduces his daguerreotype process and photography, open to a broader public, is born. Colour and moving pictures followed. Today we take picture transfer from television and films for granted. But it all started very simply almost 200 years ago.
