CLEW BAY

Clew Bay is off the West coast of Ireland. It is overlooked by Croagh Patrick a place of pilgrimage since the the 5th Century. Grace O’Malley, the famous pirate queen (1530-1603) had a number of strongholds in the area including Clare Island where Clew Bay merges with the Atlantic Ocean.
